the elevator pitch

I’m Cara, a lead product designer based in Greater Boston.

I’ve spent my career designing at fast-paced startups in Boston. I’ve come to specialize in designing for web-based B2B SaaS products, and have a strong interest in product strategy.

In early 2021, I joined Proof (FKA Notarize), and now, I’m serving as Lead Product Designer, managing three fantastic UX team members and leading and executing on strategic design projects.

I’m working everyday to improve the experience of the company’s B2B products, from overhauling the information architecture of Proof’s products to designing zero-to-one enterprise-grade admin tooling.

How I work

I’m a product thinker.

When I work, I’m not just designing a feature; I’m also considering roll-out, adoption, and risks. I care deeply about business impact and like to work iteratively to achieve results.

I’m a thought-partner.

I’m passionate about building trust across teams to solve business problems holistically. I’m genuinely unhappy when I’m working in a silo, and thrive on sharing ideas.

I’m an empathetic teammate.

I always champion the voice of the user, but I also strive to understand stakeholders. I especially love doing internal research to ensure positive business outcomes.

I’m a full-stack designer.

I believe in the importance of end-to-end ownership, from well-informed UX to well-executed UI. I love collaborating along the way, but am confident in leading the process.
